The Nokia N93i is a compact and stylish digital camcorder and multimedia computer in one. Boasting a host of advanced features - from DVD-like quality video capture to direct video uploads - the Nokia N93i mobile phone enables you to record great quality video wherever and whenever you feel inspired.
Measuring in at 108 by 58 by 25 millimetres, and weighing 163 grams, this clamshell phone is a bit large and heavy. The front of the N93i includes a mirrored finish with a hidden LCD screen that looks very impressive. The keypad comprises a flat metal surface with well-spaced buttons, while the rest of the N93i is finished in silver plastic with a contrasting dark grey surface used on the underside. The 2.4" main display of up to 16 million colors has a 160° viewing angle, the easy-to-use joystick provides smooth video control and there are dedicated camera keys to capture images, switch shooting mode and operate the flash quickly and easily. The N93i has a strong emphasis on video and supports common formats including MPEG4, Windows Media Video and Flash, while transferring and accessing videos is fast with a USB 2.0 connection and WLAN and HSDPA support. To play music, this device will feature dedicated media keys, a 3.5 mm headphone connector, and built-in 3D stereo speakers. Utilizing the large screen, the display can be orientated in landscape making it ideal for watching video and or surfing the Web. Additionally the N93i also features a 3.5mm headphone connector, as said before, and built-in 3D stereo speakers so you can share music on the go. The N93i comes with a built in stereo FM radio complete with RDS feature.
The N93i includes an integrated 3.2-megapixel camera with a 3x optical zoom and LED flash, plus a rotating viewfinder. Flipping the screen to its side automatically changes the orientation of the image to landscape mode, while rotating it upwards automatically puts the phone into camera mode. The integrated digital camera allows you to record high-quality videos in MP4 format at 30 frames per second and with 640 x 480 resolution. There's 3x optical zoom and up to 8x digital zoom.


Integrated into the Nokia N93i is a new personal video and photo blogging service called Vox* with privacy features that let you share stories and thoughts instantly with your friends, family, neighborhood or the entire world. Select your video or photos in the gallery of your Nokia N93i and upload them directly from your device to Vox in their original size. Once you've finished filming, shape your story while it's still on the Nokia N93i with the on-device editing capabilities. For advanced editing, the standard Nokia N93i sales pack comes bundled with Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 software, enabling you to create professional quality movies on your compatible PC. These videos can then be transferred back to your multimedia computer or burned to DVDs.
N93i has 50 Mbytes Memory Plus MicroSD™ Memory Card Option. The messaging services include text-messaging, email supporting POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP, multimedia messaging and instant messaging. The N93i has S60 software for the built in Symbian operating System. The 3G Smart phone does not fail to impress with all the new phone technology. The N93i features EDGE technology to provide fast data transfers and 3G HSDPA technology for quick efficiency. The WLAN Wi Fi lets you have much needed wireless connection. It also has Bluetooth and USB connection. The N93i makes it easy to share your media with friends via a TV-Out cable and UPnP support. N93i has 4 Hours Talk Time and 283 Hours Standby.
Talk time lasted well over three hours and standby, with minimal use, averaged almost a week. The battery can't cope with filming and watching videos for extended periods, so you need to recharge the phone every day. The Nokia N93i 3G smartphone isn't a major step over the previous N93, but it has all the features to please most power users including Wi-Fi and a 3.2-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens.
